Pir Zia Inayat-Khan

Pir Zia Inayat-Khan is a scholar and teacher of Sufism in the lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. He is the president and spiritual leader of the Inayati Order, and founder of the Suluk Academy, a school of contemplative study with branches in the U.S. and Europe. He is also founder of the interspiritual institute Seven Pillars House of Wisdom. He holds a doctoral degree in Religion from Duke University, is a recipient of the U Thant Peace Award and is a Lindisfarne Fellow. His books are available through Suluk Press / Omega Publications. From the Silk Road to the Information Superhighway, Sufis and Buddhists have at various times found themselves fellow travelers. In this evening exchange, the Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi and Pir Zia Inayat-Khan will explore points of correspondence between the these two great traditions with a view to elucidating the ethical and spiritual resources they both harbor.
