Letter from the Spring Flyer, January 2005.
Dear Friends,
I would like to encourage everyone to discover or rediscover Murshid's writings.
There are so many wonderful topics for exploration in his work. The Curriculum Committee
has been working with a template to identify Murshid's intentions and the deeper
meanings within the series of the Gathas, Githas, Sangathas, and Sangithas. This process
of understanding can be used for his other work as well. The template consists of
synopsizing a paper and lifting out any particular
practices which are specifically suggested. One discerns major themes which are
indicated for the students growth and unfoldment.
Seed thoughts which stand on their own as an aphorism or poetic thought are noted.
References and implications to other work on the theme being studied are discovered
using ones own knowledge of the teachings or using "HIK Works".
What I have noticed is by incorporating Murshid's writings into a regular
reading practice, my perception of life is
enriched with Murshid's realization. I find myself considering the depth rather than the
surface of life.
In dedication,
Khabira Brown
